Acceptable Use Policy
Last Updated: 30 August 2026
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using TorkHost's hosting services. It forms part of our Terms of Service. By using our Services, you agree to comply with this policy. We may update this policy from time to time, and the current version will always be published on this page.
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not use our Services for any activity that is illegal, harmful, or that interferes with the operation of our platform or the rights of others. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
- Any illegal activity under applicable law.
- Distributing, hosting or transmitting malware, viruses, worms, trojans or other malicious software.
- Phishing — creating or operating websites or messages designed to deceive people into revealing personal or financial information.
- Credential theft — collecting, storing or using login credentials without authorization.
- Fraud — including fraudulent transactions, chargeback abuse and deceptive business practices.
- Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam) or operating spam-related services.
- Copyright infringement — hosting or distributing content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others.
- Unauthorized access — attempting to access systems, networks or accounts without permission.
- Attacks against other systems — including denial-of-service attacks, port scanning and intrusion attempts.
- Hosting malicious software, exploit kits or command-and-control infrastructure.
- Abuse of network services — including network flooding, packet spoofing and similar activities.
- Distribution of illegal content, including content that violates applicable law.
- Activities intended to evade security controls, including bypassing access restrictions or circumventing our security measures.
3. Resource Usage
Plans that include "unlimited" resources are subject to fair and reasonable use and this Acceptable Use Policy. You may not use resources in a way that materially interferes with the performance, stability or security of our platform or other customers' services. We may take reasonable measures to protect the platform from abusive resource usage.
4. Security Incidents
If you become aware of a security incident affecting your account, your website or our platform — such as a compromised account, a vulnerability in software you run, or unauthorized access — you must notify us promptly so we can help contain the issue.
5. Abuse Reports
We investigate reports of abuse received from customers, third parties and law enforcement. When we receive an abuse report, we review the relevant activity and take action in accordance with this policy and our Terms of Service.
6. Investigation Process
When investigating a potential violation, we may review account activity, request information from the account holder, and take reasonable steps to confirm or resolve the issue. During an investigation, we may temporarily restrict access to the affected services where necessary to protect the platform or other customers.
7. Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in a warning, suspension or termination of services, depending on the nature and severity of the violation. Serious or repeated abuse — including illegal activity, attacks against other systems, or activity that threatens the security of our platform — may result in immediate suspension or termination without notice. Refunds are not available for services suspended or terminated for violations of this policy.
